Our Tasmanian Walnut flour is the result of milling the oil press 'cake' after all the oil has been extracted from the walnuts.
Sprinkle a teaspoon over your morning porridge or muesli for the nutty goodness to start your day. This flour is also perfect for all your cooking and baking - including shortbread, pastry, cakes, breads, pizza bases, biscuits, even stuffing and crumbs for your fish, chicken or favourite dessert!
Walnut flour also makes a delightful dukkah for dipping with bread or sprinkled on salads – mix it with your own combination of sesame seeds, spices and fresh herbs.
Walnut flour gives baked foods a slightly coarser texture and a rich nutty taste. Simply substitute approximately 1/3 of a cup of regular flour for the meal in any regular recipe and taste the difference.
